Building Re-Integration and Initiating Dialogue for Greater Engagement
BRIDGE Project
Short description of the project:
In scope of its Criminal Code, North Macedonia has previously taken repressive measures for citizens that recruit or participated to foreign conflicts in Syria and Iraq. In the afterward adopted National Strategy for Countering Violent Extremism, the government of North Macedonia has also foreseen reintegration programs as specific objective, for those convicted individuals and their family members (FMs), respectively.
Having this in mind, the BRIDGE Project contributes to further implementation of this specific objective by bringing families and institutions closer to each other.
The objectives of this project are:
– to assess the concerns, issues and needs of FMs through conducting a research within a period of four months.
– to engage FMs in policy-making process with the CVE/CT National Committee and the other relevant institutions for drafting further re-integration and re- socialisation programs to be implemented by public institutions.
