Common P/CVE challenges in Western Balkans and European Union

Our Executive Director Amir Kadri participated to roundtable event “Common P/CVE challenges in Western Balkans and EU”. The event was organized by Radicalization Awareness Network (RAN) in Sofia, on 4 April, 2018. The main goal of this event was to increase the exchange of information between practitioners and national policymakers from both Western Balkans and EU countries. They all discussed common preventing and countering violent extremism challenges in the region.

The meeting was divided into two related topics, whereas the first part was dedicated to the effective and sustainable partnership of all actors involved, and the second part focused on addressing the vulnerability of young children (pre-teens) in extremist environments.

The main objective of Radicalization Awareness Network (RAN) is to bring together practitioners from around Europe working on the prevention of radicalization and to support the implementation of prevention policies and actions at national level and in particular facilitate the implementation of recommendations of the High-Level Commission Expert Group on Radicalisation (HLCEG-R).
